The customer was seeking a durable solution against a high level of abrasion corrosion. They were interested based on the comprehensive parameters and case studies shared on similar parts under the same condition in the mining and quarrying industry.

The part was grit blasted to the required level of cleanliness as stipulated on the product’s IFU. The vanes were then covered with Belzona 1812 for optimum abrasion resistance.

The customer put the auger in service and inspected it after few weeks to ascertain the level of protection by Belzona. They were pleased to see that the equipment itself is isolated from the abrasive nature of the concrete components.
