Application Situation
The clarifiers were covered in algae and debris, creating a particular problem during the summer season when the crew usually works on the maintenance program.
Application Method
The tank was power washed and allowed to dry. Pits, cracks or holes were conditioned with Belzona 4911 and then filled with Belzona 4131 using a trowel. Once repaired, Belzona 5811 was applied to the entire internal part of the tank with rollers and brushes.

Belzona helped get the tank back in production, helping the entire city of Sarnia. After 6 years, we received feedback from the Maintenance Mechanic of the facility: Belzona 5811 has been holding very well and will contact the city about budget to move forward to coat the rest of the secondary tanks with Belzona solutions. A second inspection was carried out in April 2024 and the coating is still holding well and protecting the weirs.
