A pipe transporting over 2000 Psi of process water had a leak and a metal plate was welded. However, the pressure of the water would always find a way through the weld seams. Belzona was contacted based on previous successful applications we have been able to achieve on leaking pipes in recent times.
The customer had three submersible multi stage pumps that required rebuilding and recoating to both the inside and outside of the equipment.
Upon removal of the top casing, the pump was inspected. It was determined that the bush seating was suffering from corrosion and wear and needed to be rebuilt.
