Repair Stages

Application Situation

The application crew had no experience with Belzona products. Their repairs methods were either replacing the belt or vulcanizing and both of them were not feasible in this situation.

Application Method

The ends of the crack were drilled to prevent propagation. Then, the outer layers of the belt were removed and the rubber was properly abraded before application of the Belzona products. The surface was conditioned with Belzona 2911 and then rebuilt with Belzona 2111 reinforced with Belzona 9341.

The crew was trained on site and after the repair was completed in less than 1 hour and after a few hours they were able to put the belt back in service. they were very please with the Belzona service and our products.
