Application Situation
The pH value of the activated carbon is causing deterioration of the tank which further caused a hole. Customer was advised to use bonding of a metal plate of close thickness to the tank on the hole and covered with Belzona 1111.
Application Method
Surface cleaning of the tank and metal plate was done using power tool. An applicator was used to apply Belzona 1111 on the metal plate and bonded to the tank. Additional application of the product was done on the plate afterwards.
Belzona Facts
Replacement of tank was expensive and quick turnaround was experienced. After a year of application, customer wants to repair another tank due to the performance of the initial one.
