Belzona’s wide range of epoxy-based metal repair composites and high temperature coatings and linings has been used in the Oil and Gas industry since the late 1970s. Our materials are specifically designed to provide outstanding erosion and corrosion protection and chemical resistance for equipment operating offshore and onshore at various temperatures and pressures. Belzona offers cost effective solutions, which reduce downtime and labour costs while eliminating the need for equipment replacement.
Internal and External Protection of Process Vessels
Belzona linings for elevated (60°C–90°C) and high (90°C–160°C) temperatures can be spray or hand-applied to protect against corrosion and erosion, even under extreme pressure and temperature changes.
For full protection, including nozzles and flanges, Belzona 1511 and 1391T help completely isolate the substrate from corrosive environments.
Pipework Repair and Protection
Belzona composites repair thin- and through-wall damage, extending asset life with wraps, bonding, and filling.
Belzona SuperWrap II restores strength to corroded pipes and tanks, meets ISO/ASME standards, and works up to 150°C—no hot work needed.
Belzona 3412 seals flanges against corrosion and can be easily inspected and resealed.
For CUI, Belzona 3211 (Lagseal) encapsulates insulation to prevent future damage.
Cold Bonding
Belzona offers cold bonding as a safe, in-situ alternative to welding for installing and repairing decks, tanks, pipes, and fittings. It’s effective during fabrication, turnarounds, or live operations, with injection bonding ideal for structural and deck repairs.

Zone Repair and Protection
Corrosion resistant repair composites and coatings can be used to repair rubber sheath and pitting corrosion damage and will ensure long-term erosion and corrosion protection of risers. Belzona’s flexible sealing solutions such as Belzona 2111 (D&A Hi-Build Elastomer) can be used for repairs, creation of fillets and rubber rebonding. Belzona’s surface-tolerant protective coatings such as Belzona 5831 (ST-Barrier) can be applied in situ on splash zones and below the waterline.
Storage Tank and Secondary Containment Area Repair and Protection
Belzona offers fast-curing, no-hot-work solutions for damaged storage tanks, including emergency leak sealing and cold plate bonding. Solvent-free coatings like Belzona 3111 seal tank bases while allowing moisture to escape.
For secondary containment, Belzona repair composites and coatings restore concrete floors and walls with minimal downtime. Products like Belzona 4111 repair damage, while Belzona 4361 and 4341 provide long-term chemical resistance, even at high temperatures.
Carbon Capture
Power plants and oil & gas sites use amine stripper columns to remove CO₂, but these steel structures are prone to corrosion, risking shutdowns.
Belzona’s cold bonding solutions offer a non-weld alternative for repairs. Belzona 1511 rebuilds metal loss with long-term protection, while high-temp coatings like Belzona 1593 and 1391T guard against corrosion based on the amine used.
Decommissioning
As many oil & gas fields near the end of their life, especially offshore, safe maintenance between shutdown and decommissioning is critical.
Belzona supports this phase with repair, bonding, sealing, and coating solutions. Belzona 1111, 1121, and 1611 restore metal loss—even underwater—while Belzona 5831LT protects in cold climates. Flexible elastomers are also available for hoses and buoys.
